Shahida Ahmed, a ceramic artist from Pendle UK was invited to 10 Downing Street by the Prime Minister David Cameron to attend the Eid Al-Adha Celebrations this Month. The event was attended by selected guests, including HRH Princess Badiyah from Jordon, Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, MEP Sajid Karim and many other Muslims from the UK.
The Grand Reopening at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art

The grand reopening of 15 New Galleries for the Art of the Arab Lands, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia, and Later South Asia takes place today (November 1st, 2011) at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. The greatly enlarged and completely renovated galleries will house the Metropolitan’s renowned collection of Islamic art—one of the finest and most comprehensive collections of this material in the world.

DUBAI 4 – 30 July, 2011 / The Pavilion Downtown Dubai, in collaboration with Brusselssprout presents the screening of ‘Empire II’ in the cinema. This film concentrates on the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower for six hours with the only narrative being the tracking of time from daylight to night fall.
