A young Australian designer Peter Gould is an excellent example of the strength of Muslim creativity, exploring contemporary graphic design, digital art, photography and the rich visual & spiritual traditions of Islam.

We are now seeing young Muslim artists and designers emerging all over the world. Peter Gould embraced Islam in 2002. He founded a design studio Creative Cubed commissioned by clients such as Sony, Colgate, Vodafone & McAfee. He travellered to the Muslim World and was inspired by cities like Fes, Damascus & Mecca, making beautiful photography that you can see on his website:

Through art exhibitions, presentations, publications and graphic design projects he showed his work internationally. His commercial design studio serves clients internationally including Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Sami Yusuf and Zaytuna College. Peter has also developed a contemporary Islamic clothing range (clothing label “Artizaan”), children’s books and regularly invited to present his work at events across the globe. He currently resides in Sydney, Australia with his wife and two daughters.
