EDITORIAL
Respected readers,an establishment of the web magazine „Islamic Arts“ is the result of the necesity that the Islamic Art is approached to the reading audience, but, also the aim is to emphasize the themes that will be of interest to the connoisseurs and experts.
The magazine will elaborate the themes from the history of Islamic Arts and culture, a significant personalities and the style periods.
Further, a strong emphasis will be on the actual events such as interviews, reportages, presentation of museums and galleries, tendencies within the Islamic contemporary fine arts expression etc. Architecture will not be avoided, nor the art of photography, film and fashion.
What is more, in this magazine, the prominent personalities and artists that don’t belong to the Islamic cultural circle will be presented, but, whose works can be inspirational for all who deal with the Islamic art.
In addition, a scientific works will be published too. In this way, we shall attempt to comprise all what we call the visual art of Islam, linking the past and the present, and at the same time, giving the directions for the future.
With your support, „Islamic Arts“ will precisely attempt to imply to the new/old values, to what the Islamic art really is and what it should represent.
