ISLAMIC ARTS MAGAZINE 02
EDITORIAL
Welcome to Issue No. 2 of Islamic Arts. In this issue, we explore many interesting themes from the various fields of Islamic art.Firstly, there are interviews with the top-level artists from Great Britain, France, the USA, and Bosnia.
Also, in this issue, we are proud to present the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, which lately has been steering the great attention of the world's artistic scene, not only for its general significance, but also for the very valuable collection of the artistic objects that are displayed within the Museum.
We also bring two reportages about cities with a rich Islamic tradition, one from Sarajevo, and the other from Isfahan. These are just some of the themes that we explore in this issue.
On this occasion, I would like to thank all those who have offered their support and who have recognized the importance of this project.
I am very pleased to mention that already, after the first issue of Islamic Arts, the magazine has become a great success within certain artistic circles in Bosnia and we now have subscribers from many regions of the world: in Europe, the USA, Asia, and Australia.
This initial and astounding reception is evidence that the magazine is recognized as a project which has the capacity to present the Islamic artistic scene to the world in a professional and quality manner.
I hope that you will enjoy this new 260 page issue of Islamic Arts Magazine.
Sincerely,
Kenan Šurković
Editor-in-chief
