One of most valuable transcriptions of Qur’an in Bosnia and Herzegovina is in Mostar, and it used to represent a part of the collection of the transcribed Qur’ans, which for his mosque, Mehmed Koski-pasha, had as Muslim religious property on its building in 1608.

As far as it is known, only this Qur’an was kept from the entire collection. It can be certainly claimed, that this manuscript was not a direct order of Mehmed Koski-pasha, since it is much older transcript. A larger part of the manuscript is well kept, while the first pages were mostly damaged, particularly the ones with surah Fatih, where the illumination and calligraphy are well damaged.

However, a larger part of Qur’an is in good condition, even to that extent that some illuminations resemble as if they were made yesterday.
