A photography exhibition telling a different story about the Middle East showcased striking images from across the Middle East captured by photojournalist Hermoine Macura during her seven years of travels across the region.

An exhibition 'SAHARA SURREAL' opens at The Empty Quarter gallery on September 7 - October 14, 2011. Six artists explore Sahara in their way: Andrew McConnell, Florie Salnot, Philippe Dudouit, Magnus Larsson, Aglaïa Konrad and Markus Kayser. Since their projects are amazing we decided to present each artist. We start with Andrew McConnell and his breathtaking photography.

Freedom to Create Exhibition

SARAJEVO / The Freedom to Create Exhibition at the Art Gallery of BIH is a special compilation of artworks from the 2010 Freedom to Create Prize entries that focus on peace building. We can also see 'Frames of Reality', a unique peace building initiative in collaboration with the Peres Center for Peace. The exhibition will be open until August 2, 2011.

Remembering the Victims of the Genocide in Srebrenica

11th of July is a sad day in Bosnia and Herzegovina since we are remembering all the victims of genocide committed by Serbians on innocent Muslims in Srebrenica. Each year new remains, taken from mass grave locations are being identified and buried in the Memorial Center in Potočari in Srebrenica.

Zijah Gafic: Precious possessions in Pakistan

Of the millions displaced by fighting between the Pakistan army and the Taliban, many had only minutes to grab what they could as they were forced to flee their homes. Zijah Gafic photographed some of the refugees and asked them why they saved what they did.
