ABU DHABI / The line-up of fifty of the world’s leading modern, contemporary art and design galleries showcasing 400 artists during Abu Dhabi Art 2012 (from 7-10 November) on Saadiyat Island, has been revealed.

Now in its fourth edition, Abu Dhabi Art is again held at the Manarat Al Saadiyat exhibition centre as well as the UAE Pavilion, an artwork in itself designed by famous architect Lord Norman Foster. It is organised by the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority and sponsored by BVLGARI.

“You can see from the calibre of galleries we have again this year, that it was a difficult decision to select a small number from the exceptional submissions, to fit with our boutique platform,” says Rita Aoun-Abdo, Executive Director. “Whether you intend to buy or experience museum-quality art in an iconic setting; discover new or more affordable works in our dedicated section for emerging artists; or be engaged intellectually in the public programme, there is something for everyone during these four days,” she said.

This public programme will include exhibitions, talks, conversations and design workshops as well as Art Zone, a dedicated space which welcomed more than 4,000 children last year.
