ULUPUBIH (Association of Artists, Designers and Architects of Bosnia and Herzegovina) opened the exhibition of Bosnian artists in Collegium Artisticum Gallery in Sarajevo.

An exhibition was opened on 6th of April as the memory of the liberation of Sarajevo during the Second World War. This Association presents the works of its members each year on this date.

For this blog we present photographic work of Edin Džeko (not the famous football player) who took as theme the Mevlevi dhikr, or “dancing dervishes,” as a very distinctive form of religious, and aesthetic expression. In these black and white photographs the artist wanted to present the religious fervor and beauty of this act.
