Gafur Yakar, a Turkish Ebru Artist

Gafur Yakar was born in 1969, in Amasya, Turkey. After he finished his studies at the Electrical Engineering College in Izmir and at the Turkish National Police Academy in Ankara, he developed an interest in art, specifically ebru (marbling).

He studied ebru from the master ebru artist Ahmet AKGÃœN and obtained a certificate as a Teacher of Ebru Art Design, certified by the Department of Culture and Turism of Republic of Turkey.

Gafur Yakar attended many local and international exhibitions. His work has been seen in Turkey, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and France.
