DUBAI / The Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) will launch a limited edition copy of photo editing software ‘Capture One Pro 7’ during the GITEX Technology Week in Dubai from the 20th to 25th of October 2013.

HIPA will be hosting a series of photography workshops during the first two days of GITEX at its stand at the Sheikh Saeed hall in the Dubai World Trade Centre. Those attending the workshops will be presented with free copies of the limited edition software as well as other giveaways exclusive to HIPA. Lectures will be given by world renowned photographer Martin Grahame-Dunn and will be open to the public open registration at the HIPA stand, three times daily during the first two days of GITEX.

Commenting on the launch of the new software, Ali bin Thalith, the Secretary General of HIPA said "HIPA’s launch of the limited edition 'Capture One Pro 7' software is another step in the fulfillment of the award’s strategic goals. HIPA continues to support photographers from all around the world by providing them with the necessary means to reach the peak of their art form with the help of tools such as the Capture One Pro software."

Currently in its third season of competition, the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award is set to be the richest photography award in the world for the second season running. Founded in 2011 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, the award is set to boast a grand prize of $120,000 and an overall prize pool of $389,000.
