The exhibition 'Rencontre' Hanieh Delecroix is a collection of multidisciplinary works created by Hanieh Delecroix in colaboration with four artists: Laurent Derobert, Sylvia Santana, Ardavan Tabatabai and Tara Vergnet.

Hanieh Delecroix's work reflects a psychoanalytic approach of the relationship between the mind and the body, in particular the spirit of a damaged body as well as the interaction between two people. This becomes obvious also in Delecroix's choice of two colours that illustrate her sensitivity to the relationship between two people.

The shades of black and blue predominate in her paintings, and particularly the shades of cobalt blue, ultramarine and sky that she generally applies in large movements thus creating abstract shapes. She uses a translucent paper because of its fragility, symbolism, and extreme thinness. "A crack in the paint, a tear in the paper or the tissue becomes a kind of stigma," Delecroix explains. "This is the life. We always say to children not to touch objects, because we are afraid that they will break them, but in life, we should touch and take risks."

In the exhibition 'Rencontre' the artist presents a body of work she created with four artists she collaborated with during the past two years. Through these various artists, and various media, such as painting, video and installations, Hanieh Delecroix emphasizes the richness of possibilities when two people work together in harmony. The result is a collection of multidisciplinary work representing the silhouette of the body and the human psyche evoking a powerful emotional response.
