SARAJEVO DEC 15 / The Bosnian Institute - Foundation Zulfikarpasic is pleased to announce a solo exhibition of photographs by Alija M. Akšamija and the presentation of Photo Monography ''Alija M. Akšamija''. The opening of the exhibition will be on 15th of December 2010 at 19:00 hours at the Bosnian Institute.


Dr. Aida Hodzic-Abadžić will open the exhibition and the exhibition will be open to visitors by mid January 2011.

Ali M. Akšamija is one of the most famous and most important Bosnian photographers. He is a holder of numerous national and international honors and awards (FIAP, EUROPHOT, USUF ...), the winner of the European Award for lifetime achievement to a high standard of creative work within the analog and digital photography in 2008. He participated in numerous group exhibitions, and solo exhibitions in all major world centers. His papers were published in numerous journals, books and monographs. The work of Ali M. Akšamija was listed in the’‘pictures’‘of Yugoslav Almanac.
