The First U.S. Museum Retrospective of Iranian Artist Parviz Tanavoli

The Davis Museum at Wellesley College presents the first comprehensive retrospective exhibition of the Iranian artist Parviz Tanavoli to be mounted by a U.S. museum. An opening celebration, featuring a talk with the artist, will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. On view through June 7, 2015 the exhibition is free and open to the general public.

‘Khalvat’ by Sahand Hesamiyan

The Third Line is pleased to present 'Khalvat', Sahand Hesamiyan’s first solo show in the UAE. Sahand’s practice primarily explores contemporary sculptural directions, which take cue from Islamic architecture and present ancient concepts of transcendence in a modern context. In continuation of his practice, 'Khalvat' continues to analyze the relationship between Iranian architecture and its metaphysical symbolism.

Akim Monet: Seeking Al Tawhid

Swiss American artist Akim Monet’s first solo exhibition in Dubai will open at XVA Gallery on October 10, 2014. Monet first publicly exhibited his work in 2002, since then he has had several solo exhibitions including 'Passage to India' in New York and Mexico City, 'Homage to Gaudi' in Geneva and Belgium, and 'Pergamon' in Paris.
