TEXAS, USA / 2nd Annual Juried International Exhibition of Contemporary Islamic Art is presented by The Islamic Art Revival Series, founded by Tasnim Ben Halim, Nadia Mavrakis and Hind Jarrah Executive Director of Texas Muslim Women's Foundation, at the Charles E Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas in USA. The exhibition will run until September 28, 2013.

Born and raised in Teheran, the Iranian artist Samira Hodaei is relentlessly inspired by her home country. Daily experiences as a woman and as an artist in a country where both are constantly neglected and sometimes totally forgotten, serve as an unconscious drive for her to practice her art. The young Samira has gone so far on show in group exhibitions held in Tokyo, Sydney, Milano and Wiesbaden. Now she proudly presents her first solo exhibition in Berlin: 'Harem of the Heart.'

This exhibition aimed to share with lovers and collectors of Orientalist Art, a selection of 42 works of art made by 35 artists (French, Spanish, German, American) between 1860 and 1960.
