Jimmy Nelson: ‘Before They Pass Away’

The Guardians', a unique exhibition of portraits showing the last remaining Guardians of the Prophet’s Mosque (Al-Masjid Al-Nabawī) in Medina opens today at Leighton House Museum. Taken by Saudi photographer Adel Quraishi, these captivating images hold enormous historical significance as the only photographs to have ever been taken of the Guardians.

The exhibition in the Schaudepot of the Museum für Gestaltung offers – for the first time in Switzerland – a deep insight into the powerfully colourful oeuvre of this American photographer. The exhibition will run until October 18, 2015.
