Photo Exhibition “The World in Ramadan”

DUBAI / “The World in Ramadan” exhibition in the Dubai Mall was on Monday (July 23, 2012) officially launched by His Excellency Saeed Al Nabouda, the acting Managing Director of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and the Vice Chairman of the HIPA. Also in attendance were board members of the award: Ali bin Thailth, Sahar Al Zarei, Mater bin Lahej and Majed Al Bastaki. The exhibition includes 22 photographs by 16 photographers from all around the world, showing various Islamic traditions practiced by Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan.

World Press Photo 2012 Exhibition in Sarajevo

SARAJEVO / The exhibition World Press Photo Sarajevo, at the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina, shows 169 winning images from the most recent annual World Press Photo Contest. The exhibitions will run until Maj 22, 2012, then it will move to Banja Luka, and will be open until June 4, 2012.

The Photo Exhibition ‘Somali Refugees’ by Ikram Erdogan

SARAJEVO / In Hanikah, across the Gazi Husrev Bey's Mosque, we had an opportunity to see a photo exhibition presenting Somali refugees. The exhibition was organized by IHH - the Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief and the Istanbul Educational and Cultural Center. The exhibition was open from 2nd to 5th of April 2012.

Women On the Verge

DUBAI / Fourteen sharp, courageous, talented, passionate and inspirational women photographers from the Middle East take center stage in 'Women on the Verge', an expansive group show held concurrent with Art Dubai and Art Week. The exhibition will run at The Empty Quarter from March 20th until April 30th.

Freedom to Create Exhibition

SARAJEVO / The Freedom to Create Exhibition at the Art Gallery of BIH is a special compilation of artworks from the 2010 Freedom to Create Prize entries that focus on peace building. Remembering the Victims of the Genocide in Srebrenica

11th of July is a sad day in Bosnia and Herzegovina since we are remembering all the victims of genocide committed by Serbians on innocent Muslims in Srebrenica. Each year new remains, taken from mass grave locations are being identified and buried in the Memorial Center in Potočari in Srebrenica.
