Freedom to Create Exhibition

SARAJEVO / The Freedom to Create Exhibition at the Art Gallery of BIH is a special compilation of artworks from the 2010 Freedom to Create Prize entries that focus on peace building. We can also see 'Frames of Reality', a unique peace building initiative in collaboration with the Peres Center for Peace. The exhibition will be open until August 2, 2011.

The shortlisted artists for the Jameel Prize 2011

The work of the shortlisted artists and designers will be shown at the V&A from 21 July until 25 September 2011 and draws strongly on the artists’ and designers’ own local and regional traditions, celebrating particular materials and iconography with strong references to traditional Islamic art.

An Exclusive Group Show Dedicated to Middle Eastern Modern and Contemporary Art at Artspace Gallery

Dubai August 2011 - Artspace Gallery is pleased to be showcasing a selection of works by modern and contemporary Middle Eastern artists at an exhibition that is taking place from the 1st till the 31st of August 2011, with a focus on calligraphic works. To give you an idea of what will be on display during the month of August, we are including works by Omar El-Nagdi, Alaa Ismail, Kamal Boullata and Hussein Madi.

Remembering the Victims of the Genocide in Srebrenica

11th of July is a sad day in Bosnia and Herzegovina since we are remembering all the victims of genocide committed by Serbians on innocent Muslims in Srebrenica. Each year new remains, taken from mass grave locations are being identified and buried in the Memorial Center in Potočari in Srebrenica.
