As part of Sharjah Calligraphy Biennial 2014, a solo exhibition by well known Pakistani calligrapher Rasheed Butt is on view at the Calligraphy Area until June 6, 2014. The famous artist was honoured by HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the U.A.E. and Ruler of Sharjah for his contribution in the field of Islamic Calligraphy.

May 26, 2014Sahar Al Zarei, the Assistant Secretary General of HIPA has been awarded with the ‘Excellent Achievement Award’ on behalf of Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) at the International Photographic Council (IPC) Pro Luncheon held in the United Nations last week. The accolade is the first of its kind to be presented to an international photography organization in the 16 year history of the Awards Luncheon.
