SCULPTURE A Paper Sculpture ‘201+1’, by Iranian Artist and Architect Habibeh Madjdabadi

The paper sculpture, titled 201+1, is a different kind of book, designed by Habibeh Madjdabadi for the occasion of the National Architect’s Day in Iran. The book consists of 202 pieces of paper; on each piece there is a quote about architecture by internationally recognized architects. It also contains one quote by the artist, written on the red paper.

This work is exhibited along an Installation by the same artist in the Rouge Gallery in Tehran. The exhibition will run until May 6, 2014.

Habibeh Madjdabadi is one of the outstanding architects of younger generation in Iran. Her work has been recognized and awarded. Her artistic exploration go beyond architecture and she is making her mark also in fine art, interior design, photography and fashion design. It will be very interesting to see her next projects.
