DUBAI / The Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) has launched its latest edition of the Award at the press conference in the Jumeira Beach Hotel in Dubai. The third season of the Award is set to be themed as 'Creating the Future' and will be a follow-up to the second season of the award 'Beauty of Light'.

His Excellency Ali bin Thalith, the Secretary General of HIPA, stressed that the third season of the Award 'Creating the Future' is set to propel the award into new levels of international exposure. He continued that "with the excellent media exposure we received during the second season of the Award we aim to build on and offer a true reflection of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in the field of photography."

HE Ali Bin Thalith also took the opportunity to present the new website look which he described would "help photographers and learn more about about HIPA" and "would help deal with an increasing number of participants taking part in the Award." HIPA has began accepting submissions for the third season of the Award through the website and and will continue to do so until the midnight of the December 31, 2013 (UAE Standard Time).

The Secretary General continued that "The new theme of the Award falls right in line with HIPA's support fo the UAE's bid for the World Expo 2020, where we hope to create the Future with the lenses of our competitors." The Award's main category of 'Creating the Future' will be joined by another new category 'Street Life', joining the existing 'Black and White' and 'General' categories.
