The exhibition is presenting most recent works by Liliana Gonzalez, a set of drawings composed of eleven pieces of art made on 'Fabriano' papers. The artist creates shapes and compositions that refer to forms and characteristics of Islamic art, specifically arabesque. Using calligraphic strokes she makes her artworks with liquid graphite and rustic orange tint.

"In my creative process, the canvas is the site of the reunion. The lines are articulated as an old language that is remembered while being invented. Everything responds to the inner logic of a movement sustained in the trust of an underlying weave, I am interested in insisting to reach the edge of harmony. Up there I go, aware of a balance that I do not want to leave," explains Liliana Gonzalez.

In these rhythmic repetitions, balance predominates, harmony appears as a two-dimensional system of representation that does not attempt to represent reality but, being inspired by nature, tries to reach the essence of the work.
