EXHIBITION AT TASEER ART GALLERY, LAHORE ‘Roses were Blue’ by Imrana Tanveer
Sep 26, 2016 Exhibition
The floor at the exhibition space in Taseer Art Gallery is covered with rose petals to let a viewer feel and sense the smell first and then see the works. "This exhibition was inspired from the very basic idea of having an association and interpretation with the flower Rose," said Imrana Tanveer.
Often considered the queen of flowers, a rose has always inspired artists, beloved ones and everyone with its beauty and fragrance. With this exhibition, Tanveer is inviting visitors to be open for interpretation which can take them down the memory lane, remembering their loved ones, their wedding, a specific travel or any other significant event from their life.
Tanveer explains, "I want viewers to feel the aroma and experience the sensation of it, to take them to another level. The fragrance can take one on a journey to past in order to bring back memories from adulthood; to remember a deceased, or a commemoration of Muharram, or a wedding or anything else we might remember."
