Photo Exhibition “The World in Ramadan”

DUBAI / “The World in Ramadan” exhibition in the Dubai Mall was on Monday (July 23, 2012) officially launched by His Excellency Saeed Al Nabouda, the acting Managing Director of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and the Vice Chairman of the HIPA. Also in attendance were board members of the award: Ali bin Thailth, Sahar Al Zarei, Mater bin Lahej and Majed Al Bastaki. The exhibition includes 22 photographs by 16 photographers from all around the world, showing various Islamic traditions practiced by Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan.

Hey’Ya: Arab Women in Sport

LONDON / Commissioned by Qatar Museums Authority, Hey’Ya: Arab Women in Sport, the first exhibition in London by the internationally renowned photographer Brigitte Lacombe with the documentary film-maker Marian Lacombe, is on show at Sotheby’s London from 25 July – 11 August 2012.

'My Rock Stars: Volume 1' pays homage to traditional African portraiture, while celebrating present-day pop stars, unsung artists and personal inspirations in Hajjaj’s life. The exhibition will be open at The Third Line from September 12 until October 18, 2012.
