On September 10, 2012 Alserkal Avenue will open its new season by welcoming a new addition to its creative community - The Fridge.

The Fridge is the region’s leading independent artist and music management company, providing world class entertainment for over 3,000 commercial and private events annually and supporting the development of the Middle East’s music and performance art scene with rich and diverse programming. Alserkal Avenue’s cultural distirct will enrich and expand its arts platform by ading a new pillar to its creative community - music.

The night will start with the launch of ‘Design Stories’ the monthly talks series by Design Days Dubai at La Galerie Nationale during ‘Generation’, a joint exhibition by Piero Alessandrini and Arnaud Riveren. Starting at 18:00 Piero Alessandrini will lead the discussion; joined by Guillaume Cuiry, Director of La Galerie Nationale and Piero’s daughter, Chiara Alessandrini.

From 19:00 onwards 20 art galleries and creatives will jointly open their doors with new exhibitions enabling the public once more to mingle with artists, gallerists, collectors and art enthusiasts and to hop from one space to the other to view art from across the globe while enjoying delicious refreshments. In addition, The Fridge will feature a glimpse of the highly anticipated Kalubela show due to be staged in October.

Visitors will have the chance of an exclusive sneak peak of some of the vocalists, dancers and aerialists that will be taking part. Alserkal Avenue the cultural district of Dubai is growing and welcoming new projects and initiatives more than ever before with more surprises to be announced on the night! The night that will fuse art and design not to be missed!
