The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) in Doha, in partnership with East Wing presents 'Radiant', the first contemporary photographic exhibition by renowned German artist, Antje Hanebeck in Doha. This premiere exhibition showcases Hanebeck’s new limited edition portfolio collection created to commemorate the fifth anniversary of MIA’s opening.

Presented in an elegant, special edition collection box (limited to 40 copies), ‘Radiant’ features 11 handmade 'Heliogravure' prints. This is the first photographic portfolio project to be organised by the Museum of Islamic Art, in partnership with East Wing, a new platform for contemporary photography in Doha. The images in ‘Radiant’ are an insightful photographic meditation on light and space. With the implementation of the antique process of heliogravure in the making of these prints, the artist creates a new contemporary visual experience of atmosphere, light and shadow. The result is a fresh interpretation of the museum’s physical space that reveals new insights to its design, created by master of modern architecture, I M Pei.

The images have been printed on fine photographic paper and are stored in a custom made portfolio box, fabricated of special Corian material. ‘Radiant’ is a testimony to Antje Hanebeck’s two year exploration of the Museum of Islamic Art, in an intimate collaboration together with intellects of optics and designers.
